NEW SOLAR PARK IN MALAWI UNDERWAY

Watch time lapse video of construction of the 60 MW solar park Salima in Malawi.

The sun is shining in Malawi, and the sun rays will soon be turned into renewable energy by the 60 MW solar park, Salima.

As it appears from this video, construction is well underway, and the solar park will soon start to produce electricity and provide around 1.4 million people with electricity.

The Canadian company JCM Power is responsible for the establishment of Salima, and on behalf of the Danish SDG Investment Fund, IFU has contributed with financing of DKK 95 million.

Once the solar park is completed, it will increase IFU’s portfolio of investments in renewable energy, which produced more than 6,000 GWh in 2020.
