On International Women’s Day, we are happy to announce that more than one third of our new investments last year had a gender lens focus, thereby supporting gender equality and the empowerment of women in developing countries. IFU has signed up to the international 2X challenge aiming at investing USD 15 billion in the world’s women by the end 2022. Whether the target was met will be announced later this year. IFU will continue the effort and has set a target that at least 30 % of the new investments every year must meet the 2X criteria.
