IFU’s board of directors has approved a new Human Rights Policy and a Gender Equality Policy. The policy on human rights explains IFU’s work with the UN guiding Principles on business and Human Rights, while the policy on gender equality describes IFU’s commitment to gender equality in our investments.
On 20 June 2019, IFU’s board of directors approved IFU’s two new policies on gender equality and human rights. The policies have been shared in a public hearing and discussed with IFU’s Sustainability Advisory Board, which has provided constructive feedback in the drafting of the policies. The policies are both underlying policies to IFU’s Sustainability Policy, as shown below:
