NEW GENERAL COUNSEL AND CCO IN IFU

IFU welcomes Frederik Bjørn as our new General Counsel and CCO.

IFU has employed Frederik Bjørn as General Counsel and CCO.

He will head IFU’s legal team, which is a vital part of IFU’s transactions and responsible for corporate legal issues. Moreover, he will oversee compliance functions across the organisation and lead IFU’s investor relations related to the current fund raising for the Danish SDG Investment Fund II and other IFU managed funds, which are all public-private partnerships between IFU and private investors.

Frederik Bjørn has been part of the senior leadership in several leading Nordic financial institutions for more than 20 years, latest as Executive Vice President in Danske Bank.

Frederik Bjørn is an attorney at law and has extensive experience in the fields of corporate governance, legal and compliance, which includes being head of the group compliance functions in PFA Pension and Danica. Moreover, he supervised Danske Bank’s work to establish a fit for purpose first-line risk and compliance setup across Danske Bank’s non-Nordic footprint.

“This is an exciting time to join IFU, which I know as a collaborative organisation with deep competences in development finance. For me, this is a purpose-driven move, and I look forward to leveraging my experience from major Nordic financial institutions to help IFU on its growth journey towards 2030.”
