Catherine Isabelle Cax, 34, Senior Investment Manager specialized in China, Vietnam and West Africa.
“It is interesting to appraise a project and really gratifying when the establishment of the project is successful and the Danish partner is content as well. My strength is to give financial advice and valuations right from the start when the project is just an idea and to the point when it has become real. It is an advantage for the companies to work together with us because we understand what it means to start a business in Africa or China.”
“The job at IFU suits me fine - personally as well as professionally - I believe in a sustainable development where we can make profitable investments which in turn creates work places with focus on working environment. Finally, I really like working in an international environment. Even if the location is Bremerholm, in Copenhagen, the outlook is global– and the world our place of work.”
Catherine has been posted at IFU’s office in China and has thus gained an insight into Chinese business life and culture. “To establish a business in China may seem hard and there are different rules for e.g. joint ventures. The challenge in China is that the framework is constantly changing. Through our office in Beijing and our vast network of advisers we are always kept abreast with the latest development – and thus we are capable of offering the best possible advice to our Danish partners.”
